Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Front Desk/Patient Coordinator to join our general dentistry practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing the dental office's day-to-day operations, which include maintaining patient records, scheduling patients, managing claims and accounts receivable, maintaining the appearance and order of the dental office, and treatment plan coordination. Utilization of dental software, including Dentrix and Curve.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Office Management
- Manage the dentistry office's day-to-day activities.
- Open and close dental office according to office protocol.
- Maintain a neat and professional office.
- Manage daily schedule.
- With professionalism, answer and reply to phone calls, texts, and emails.
- Process dental claims and follow up on claims as necessary.
- Process statements and payments, and run financial reports.
Patient Management
- Act as main point of contact, providing excellent customer service, including greeting and checking in patients, managing patient relations, and scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Managing referrals and scheduling of complex cases.
- Explaining proposed treatment plans, benefits, and timelines to patients.
- Discussing costs, payment options, verifying insurance, and processing claims.
- Follow up on proposed treatment plans.
PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
- High school diploma
- Two years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Previous experience working in a dental setting preferred
Interpersonal
- Effective verbal communication abilities
- Team player
- Ability to be flexible when needed
- Experience with customer service or patient relations

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
