Dupont Orthodontics is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and organized Orthodontic Lab Technician to join our team. We are a patient-focused orthodontic practice committed to providing exceptional care and outstanding results. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that appliances, aligners, retainers, and laboratory cases are accurately fabricated, organized, and delivered to support our clinical team and patients.
Position Summary
The Orthodontic Lab Technician is responsible for the fabrication, preparation, organization, and quality control of orthodontic appliances and laboratory cases for our Fort Wayne and Columbia City locations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, has excellent attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Pour, trim, and prepare models
- Fabricate and finish orthodontic appliances and retainers
- Manage incoming and outgoing laboratory cases
- Verify that appliances and laboratory work meet quality standards prior to patient appointments
- Organize and maintain laboratory inventory and supplies
- Coordinate transfer of cases and appliances between office locations
- Track and follow up on outstanding laboratory orders
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory work and case status
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with doctors and clinical team members to ensure timely patient care
Qualifications
- Previous orthodontic or dental laboratory experience preferred
- Experience with retainer and appliance fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently while remaining a team player
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn practice management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between offices

Schedule
- Full-time Monday-Thursday 7:15am-5:15pm, Friday mornings as needed to complete work
- Travel between Fort Wayne and Columbia City offices as needed
