We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Full-Time Dental Assistant & Front Office Team Member to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize dental instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, operating dental x-ray equipment, and utilizing 3D scanners for advanced imaging when necessary
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology to enhance their understanding of procedures such as endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry
- Manage front desk responsibilities including answering phone calls, processing payments, verifying insurance benefits, and coordinating patient flow efficiently
- Support clinical staff with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards across all operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar medical documentation software is a plus
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice management
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards; familiarity with dental x-ray equipment and 3D scanners is advantageous
- Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management techniques
- Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and front desk interactions as a dental receptionist
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry including oral cavity structures; familiarity with prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry enhances your effectiveness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment demonstrating four-handed dentistry techniques when assisting clinicians
