The Dentists is seeking an experienced, professional, and knowledgeable Dental Front Office / Business Team Member to join our team.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION.
We are looking for someone who can step into a busy dental office and confidently handle the business side of dentistry. A strong understanding of dental insurance is one of the most important requirements for this position.
⭐ WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- Minimum of 2 years of dental front office/reception experience
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of dental insurance — REQUIRED
- Experience verifying insurance benefits and accurately interpreting benefit information
- Understanding of deductibles, annual maximums, waiting periods, frequencies, exclusions, downgrades, coordination of benefits, and out-of-network benefits
- Experience submitting dental claims and following up on unpaid, pending, and denied claims
- Ability to read and understand EOBs
- Knowledge of CDT codes and common dental procedures
- Experience preparing treatment estimates and explaining patient financial responsibility
- Experience collecting payments and managing patient accounts
- Excellent scheduling and patient communication skills
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

- You do not have at least 2 years of dental front office experience
- Your experience is primarily in a medical office rather than a dental office
- You have only limited exposure to dental insurance
- You have not personally verified dental insurance benefits
- You are unfamiliar with EOBs, deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, and patient portions
- You are looking for an entry-level position where you will be extensively trained on basic dental insurance and front-office procedures
We are looking for someone who already knows dental front office and insurance—not someone who needs to learn the fundamentals after being hired.
YOUR ROLE:
The front office is an essential part of our practice. You will be responsible for helping patients navigate their appointments, treatment, insurance, and financial responsibilities while maintaining accurate patient accounts.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and assisting patients
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Verifying and documenting insurance benefits
- Preparing treatment estimates
- Explaining insurance benefits and patient portions
- Collecting patient payments
- Posting insurance and patient payments
- Submitting and tracking dental claims
- Reviewing EOBs and resolving discrepancies
- Following up on outstanding insurance claims
- Managing patient accounts and balances
- Coordinating treatment and financial arrangements
- Supporting the overall daily operation of the front office
