RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Hygiene Coordinator, you will help keep the hygiene department organized, productive, and focused on an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and maintaining an efficient hygiene schedule.
- Following up with patients to fill open appointments.
- Managing hygiene recalls and reactivation.
- Helping patients stay current with recommended preventive care.
- Supporting hygiene production and scheduling goals.
- Coordinating communication between hygiene, doctors, assistants, and the administrative team.
- Helping create a smooth patient experience from scheduling through checkout.
- Following established systems and completing tasks from beginning to end.
- Identifying scheduling or workflow challenges and taking initiative to address them.
- Maintaining accurate patient information and scheduling records.
- Supporting the team wherever needed to keep the day running smoothly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently within a structured system.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively with different personality types.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
Preferred / Bonus:
- Previous hygiene coordination experience.
- Proficiency with EagleSoft is a plus.
- Experience with dental scheduling software.
- Dental insurance or treatment coordination experience.
- Patient reactivation experience.
- Spanish-speaking/bilingual.
- Experience in a fee-for-service or private-pay dental practice.
