Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Manager to oversee the scheduling operations within our medical facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical office management and a strong understanding of various electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient patient scheduling, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional patient service. The Scheduling Manager will work closely with medical staff to optimize appointment availability and enhance patient flow.

Duties

Utilize EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Dentrix to maintain accurate patient records.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and insurance verification.
Provide administrative support by managing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting with clerical tasks.
Train and supervise scheduling staff to ensure adherence to best practices in medical scheduling.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize clinic operations and improve patient service.
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards, and Medicare guidelines.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Requirements

Strong understanding of medical billing, coding (ICD coding), and documentation review processes.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency; typing skills are essential.
