What We Are Looking For: Experienced Treatment Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Present and review treatment plans with patients, factoring in dental insurance benefits and financial options
- Confidently discuss and arrange financial agreements, including processing payments and managing patient balances and credits
- Coordinate treatment sequencing and scheduling to optimize patient care and provider efficiency
- Verify insurance benefits, and communicate coverage estimates to patients
- Navigate EMR/dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred) and maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold patient privacy standards
- Manage patient and referral communication by phone, text, email, and in person with professionalism and empathy
- Support office efficiency by anticipating needs, resolving issues proactively, and mentoring less experienced team members
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a dental office, specifically in treatment coordination
- Proficiency with EMR/dental practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, presentation, and case acceptance skills
- Experience discussing finances and dental insurance with patients
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, poised, and self-motivated with a cheerful demeanor
