Job Summary
The Insurance Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the insurance operations within a dental office. This position is responsible for managing insurance claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating effective communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental coding, and insurance verification processes.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the insurance department to ensure efficient processing of claims and adherence to policies.
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to services rendered.
Manage the submission and follow-up of insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, coding practices, and changes in insurance policies.
Train and supervise staff in insurance verification processes and record management.
Address patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage and billing issues effectively.

Skills

Strong knowledge of managed care principles and practices.
Experience in a dental office setting REQUIRED.
Proficiency in HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all operations.
Solid understanding of dental terminology.
Experience in managing dental records accurately and efficiently.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
