Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office management, fiscal management, and supervising staff. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our practice runs efficiently while providing exceptional patient care. The Dental Practice Manager will be responsible for managing administrative functions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a positive work environment for both staff and patients.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the dental practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

- Manage financial aspects of the practice, including budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal management.
- Supervise and train office staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Manage medical records and oversee the implementation of EMR/EHR systems.
- Coordinate human resources functions including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and ensure proper coding for insurance claims.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to improve clinic processes and patient care strategies.
- Utilize practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft to streamline operations.
Skills
- Strong background in medical office management with experience in dental clinics preferred.
- Proficient in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology essential for compliance.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
- Familiarity with managed care processes and utilization management practices.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and software relevant to healthcare management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in acute care or critical care settings is a plus but not required.
