Saint Johnsbury Dental Associates is a modern, patient-centered private practice specializing in general dentistry including cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care in a warm, upbeat environment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Treatment Coordinator to join our front office team.
Job Summary
The Treatment Coordinator is the financial and scheduling bridge between our doctors and patients. You will present treatment plans, discuss financial options, secure case acceptance, and ensure a seamless patient experience from consultation to start of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Present comprehensive treatment plans in a clear, confident, and enthusiastic manner
- Explain financing options including cash pay, insurance benefits and outside sourced financing.
- Achieve monthly case acceptance and production goals
- Coordinate complex treatment schedules between patients, doctors, and hygienists
- Follow up with unscheduled treatment with potential offerings driving case acceptance.
- Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix Ascend (or similar software)
- Build long-term relationships with patients and act as their primary point of contact throughout care
- Assist with front desk coverage when needed (answering phones, checking patients in/out)
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience as a Treatment Coordinator or Dental Financial Coordinator in a private practice (general or specialty)
- Success presenting and closing large treatment plans
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification, PPO plans, and claims processing
- Proficiency with PMS for dentistry Dentrix Ascend preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be comfortable “selling” treatment ethically and confidently
- Professional appearance and upbeat personality
