The Lead Registered Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in a growing dental practice in Oxnard, CA. Focusing on patient care and team leadership. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, mentoring the dental assistant team, and overseeing the daily operations of the back office to ensure efficient patient care, compliance with protocols and ordering/managing supplied with budgets.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and care
- Lead and mentor the dental assistant team, providing guidance and support
- Oversee daily operations of the back office, including sterilization, inventory management, and treatment setup
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient and timely care
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and office policies
- Order dental supplies and control inventory
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-procedure care
Requirements
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification preferred but not required
- 4+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant, with leadership experience being a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to lead a team and maintain a positive working environment
- Excellent communication skills with both patients and staff
- Knowledge of dental software and office protocols
