Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prosthodontist/General Dentist to join our dynamic private practice dental team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care, including restorative, prosthetic, and general dentistry services, to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
- Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as dental restorations, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures), implants and oral surgery procedures.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and fabrication techniques to create precise dental prostheses and restorations.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Implement infection control protocols using aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination during procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient patient flow and comfort.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
- Stay current with developments in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and related fields through continuous education.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatric patient care is a plus.
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), and other surgical procedures using proper aseptic technique.
- Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Familiarity with infection control standards aligned with OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration within a busy dental clinic setting.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance for safeguarding patient privacy during all aspects of medical documentation. Pay: $154,437.89 - $300,000.00 per year
