Director of Operations / Dental Office Manager

Full-Time | Executive-Level Compensation + Performance Bonus ($75,000–$100,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus)
A large, highly respected and expanding multi-specialty dental practice in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee performance, systems, and team development across a high-volume clinical environment.
This role is designed for a strategic, metrics-driven leader who understands both the business and people side of dentistry and is ready to operate at a high level within a growth-focused organization.
The Opportunity
This is more than a traditional office manager position.
We are seeking a leader who can:
- Drive production, collections, and profitability
- Optimize multi-provider scheduling strategy
- Strengthen insurance, billing, and revenue cycle systems
- Lead and develop administrative leadership team members
- Improve case acceptance and operational scalability
- Partner directly with ownership on strategic planning and long-term growth
You will have meaningful influence over systems, performance, and culture.
Leadership Responsibilities
Operational Strategy
- Oversee day-to-day operations while focusing on long-term scalability
- Analyze KPIs including production, collections, AR, overhead, and profitability
- Implement systems that improve efficiency and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
Team & Organizational Development
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and structured training systems
- Develop team leads and strengthen accountability structures
- Conduct performance management and leadership coaching
- Maintain a culture of professionalism, clarity, and high standards
Financial Oversight
- Monitor revenue cycle performance and insurance systems
- Strengthen financial presentation and case acceptance processes
- Review financial reporting and adjust strategy accordingly
- Support providers in maximizing productivity and schedule utilization
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years dental office management experience (required)
- Experience leading in a high-volume, multi-provider practice
- Strong understanding of PPO insurance, billing, AR, and revenue cycle management
- Demonstrated experience using KPIs to drive measurable results
- Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar systems
- Strong leadership presence and decision-making ability
